Acrylics and ink on stucco board, 40 x 50 cm. aprox..
Also it has some textures made with latex and other things. You cannot see them in this photo but they are there xD. I chrystalized the treated parts of the stucco, it looks pretty good, although it doesn't emphasize that much. I tore up the stucco, then I aged it with some sepia ink and judea bitumen and later added the textures and did the painting process.

Hope you all like it (:
I also like the touch of the umbilical cord wrapping aroound the mothers neck. It adds to the feeling of trouble in the piece, as if everything is not as it should be. The dark patches drawing in around the pair also add to this sense.
The texturing is wonderful, I love the way you use both smooth (on the face and breasts) and rough (on the arm and background).
I do feel the black detracts from it a bit. Have you considered colouring it the same colour as the default dA background instead? Then that border wouldn't show up and you'd only see the outline of the stucco in it's own shape.
I would love to be able to see this for real as I'm sure it loses a lot in the photo.
(This is in response to your post on my thread: "I'm looking to improve my critique skills: Give me something to practice on!" I'm sorry it took me so long to get around to it!)
And don't worry for the time, it's appreciated anyway!
PS: Yes, I though on changing the black parts and put the green colour of dA...I'll fix it when I have the time, thanks!
Thanks for the appreciation
